I am a self-taught artists, who paints with oils. I am also a healer, and have experienced lots of the human condition in many guises in my lifetime. I try to show the internal mental and emotional suffering on the canvas. I paint what I have felt either from outside sources, or in my own life experiences. I do not have a label for my work, I would imagine it comes under modern art, or contemporary art, maybe figurative, fantasy, sometimes occult. I have a vivid imagination, and art has been a prominent source of release in my life.
Everyone needs something to pour themselves into, I have art.
I have been told many things about my work, often more negative than positive. But if I was to say what I would like from people's opinions, is that they have one. I hope my work inspires an emotional reaction in people, I have no judgment whether it should be good or bad. What is worse is if there is no reaction at all.
To me art should strive to inspire an emotional reaction, its there for people to find beauty, sadness, release, and humanity in all its guises.
